Office Workstation in Bangladesh | CUBIC Design
When you have a growing team and a limited floor space, individual desks quickly become inefficient. They take up too much room, leave cables everywhere, and make the office feel disorganized. Office workstations solve all of that — and do it without sacrificing comfort or professionalism.
At CUBIC, we design and manufacture office workstations in Dhaka, Bangladesh for businesses of every size. From compact 2-person pods for small startups to large open-plan clusters for corporate floors, each workstation is custom-built to fit your space, your team, and your workflow.
What Is an Office Workstation?
An office workstation is a shared desk system where multiple work surfaces are combined into a single modular unit. Unlike standalone desks, workstations are designed to seat two or more employees side by side or facing each other — with shared structural components, integrated cable management, and optional privacy partitions between seats.
They are the preferred desk solution for open-plan offices because they make the most of available floor space, create a consistent visual layout, and keep the workspace looking clean and organized even when the team is large.
Modern office workstations are no longer the cramped, grey cubicles of the past. Today’s designs are sleek, functional, and flexible — built to support the way people actually work.
Who Are Office Workstations Best Suited For?
Workstations work well for any team that works in an open or semi-open office environment. They are especially popular in:
- IT & Software Companies – Developers, designers, and QA teams who need side-by-side collaboration with their own dedicated screen space.
- BPOs & Call Centers – High-density seating environments where space efficiency and consistent layouts are a priority.
- Banks & Financial Institutions – Large back-office teams that need organized, professional-looking desk setups.
- Garments & Manufacturing Offices – Administrative and HR teams working in factory-side office spaces.
- Startups & Growing Businesses – Companies that need scalable seating solutions that can expand as the team grows.
- Government & NGO Offices – Departments with multiple staff members who benefit from shared, organized workspaces.
Our Office Workstation Configurations
We manufacture workstations in a range of configurations to suit different team sizes and floor layouts. Every configuration is fully customizable in size, color, partition height, and storage.
2-Person Workstation
The most compact option — ideal for small teams, dedicated project pairs, or offices where space is at a premium. Two work surfaces share a common frame, keeping the footprint tight while giving each person a full, comfortable desk area.
- Best for: Small offices, paired teams, startup environments
- Layout options: Side-by-side or back-to-back
4-Person Workstation
The most popular configuration for growing teams. Four seats are arranged in a cluster — either in a straight row or a facing arrangement — with a central partition dividing the unit into two pairs. It is space-efficient, easy to manage, and scales naturally as you add more clusters.
- Best for: Mid-sized teams, departmental pods, IT and admin teams
- Layout options: Straight row, facing cluster, or L-shape
6-Person Workstation
A larger pod configuration suited for teams that need to stay close and collaborate frequently. Six seats share a unified structure with individual partitions, creating a defined team zone within the open floor without the need for physical walls.
- Best for: BPOs, call centers, large departmental teams
- Layout options: Facing rows, cluster pods, or linear arrangement
8-Person & Custom Configurations
For large corporate floors, we build workstation systems with 8, 10, 12 seats or more — designed to tile seamlessly across the entire floor plan. Custom configurations are mapped against your actual office dimensions to ensure the best possible use of space with clear walkways and access points.
- Best for: Corporate offices, BPOs, government departments, banks
- Layout options: Fully custom — send us your floor plan

Key Features of CUBIC Workstations
Every workstation we build comes with a standard set of features that make the daily work experience better for your team — and the overall office look better for your business.
Privacy Partitions
Each seat is separated by a partition panel that reduces visual distraction and creates a sense of personal space — without closing off the open-floor feel. Partition heights are customizable based on your preference for privacy vs. visibility.
Integrated Cable Management
Exposed cables are one of the biggest causes of a messy office. Our workstations come with built-in cable routing channels that keep power cables, data lines, and charging cords organized and out of sight — maintaining a clean, professional look across the entire floor.
Personal Storage Options
Each workstation seat can be paired with a personal pedestal drawer unit — a compact under-desk cabinet with drawers for stationery, documents, and personal belongings. Lockable options are available for added security.
Modular & Scalable Design
As your team grows, your workstation system grows with it. Our modular design allows new seats to be added to existing clusters without replacing the whole unit. This makes CUBIC workstations a smart long-term investment for growing businesses.
Durable Surface Finish
All work surfaces are finished with scratch-resistant, anti-stain pre-laminated board. It handles the wear and tear of daily use without losing its appearance — and is easy to clean and maintain.
Custom Colors & Finishes
Workstations are available in a wide range of colors and wood textures to match your office interior. Whether you prefer a clean white finish, a warm woodgrain, or a bold accent color for your brand — we can build it.
Materials We Use
We source all raw materials from certified importers and use only high-grade components in every workstation we build.
- Pre-laminated MDF Board – Scratch-resistant and moisture-resistant surface used for all work tops and partition panels. Available in multiple colors and finishes.
- High-Density Particle Board (HDF) – Used for the structural body and frame — strong, stable, and resistant to warping over time.
- Powder-Coated Steel Legs & Frames – Provides maximum load-bearing strength and a clean, modern aesthetic. Resistant to rust and chipping.
- PVC Edge Banding – Applied to all exposed edges for a polished finish and long-lasting chip resistance.
- Acoustic Partition Fabric (Optional) – Available for partition panels to help absorb ambient noise in high-density work environments.

Designing an Open-Plan Office? Here Is What to Consider
If you are planning an open-plan office layout using workstations, there are a few things that will make a big difference to how the space functions day to day:
- Aisle Width – Leave at least 90 cm between workstation clusters for comfortable movement. High-traffic routes near entrances and meeting rooms should be wider.
- Seat-to-Window Ratio – Where possible, orient workstations so employees face away from windows rather than toward them. This reduces screen glare and eye strain significantly.
- Partition Height – Low partitions (60–70 cm) keep the floor feeling open and encourage collaboration. Higher partitions (100–120 cm) provide more focus and privacy for roles that require concentration.
- Dedicated Focus Zones – Consider mixing open workstations with a small number of enclosed or semi-enclosed desks for tasks that require deep focus or confidential work.
- Power & Data Access – Plan floor box positions and wall socket locations before workstations are placed. Retrofitting power access after furniture is installed is costly and disruptive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order workstations in a custom size?
Yes. All our workstations are manufactured to your specifications. You can define the exact seat width, desk depth, partition height, and overall footprint. Just share your floor plan or dimensions and we will design the layout accordingly.
What is the standard desk depth for a workstation seat?
The standard depth we use is 60 cm, which provides comfortable working space for a monitor, keyboard, and documents. We can go up to 75 cm for more space-intensive roles, or as compact as 50 cm where floor space is tight.
Can I add more seats to an existing workstation later?
Yes. Our modular design allows expansion. As long as the original cluster was built with extension in mind, we can add seats to match the existing system without replacing the entire unit.
Do the workstations come with chairs?
Workstations are sold separately from chairs. However, we also manufacture a full range of office chairs and can supply matching chairs alongside your workstation order. Ask our team about bundle pricing.
How long does it take to complete a large workstation order?
For standard configurations, production typically takes 10 to 20 working days depending on order size. For large corporate orders with custom specifications, we provide a detailed timeline after reviewing your requirements. Contact us early so we can plan accordingly.
Do you install the workstations at our office?
Yes, free of charge. Our installation team delivers, assembles, and fully sets up the workstation system at your office. We also handle cable routing and ensure everything is ready to use before we leave.
